Caring for our Jewellery
We take pride in crafting our jewellery.
Our jewellery is gold or silver plated brass, with an ecoating layer for added protection and durability. We make our pieces to last, and while it is natural for plated jewellery to begin to wear and tarnish after some time, improper care can significantly reduce the lifespan of your item.
To ensure your pieces retain their beauty for as long as possible, follow our care guide below.
Handling and Wearing
- Always put on your jewellery after applying makeup, perfume, or hair products to avoid damaging the plating or stones.
- Remove your jewellery when swimming, bathing, or engaging in activities that may expose it to harsh chemicals or excessive perspiration.
- Avoid direct contact with cleaning products, as they may cause discoloration or damage to the plated finish and stones.
Cleaning and Polishing
- Gently clean your jewellery using a soft, lint-free cloth or microfiber cloth. This will remove any dirt, oils, or fingerprints that may have accumulated.
- Never use abrasive cleaners, chemical solutions, or ultrasonic cleaners, as these can damage the plating and stones.
Storage
- Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperature fluctuations.
- Use a soft-lined jewellery box or the pouch provided to prevent scratches and tangling.
- Store each piece separately to avoid contact and friction between different jewellery items.
- Keep your plated jewellery away from other metals, such as silver or copper, to avoid tarnishing or oxidation.
Maintenance
- Inspect your jewellery regularly for signs of wear or damage. If you notice any loose stones, clasps, or settings, bring your piece to a professional jeweller for repair.
- Re-plating may be necessary over time to maintain the original appearance of your jewellery. Consult with a professional jeweller to determine when and how often your pieces should be re-plated.
Caring for Cubic Zirconia and Semi-Precious Stones
- Clean these stones with a soft, lint-free cloth or a gentle solution of warm water and mild dish soap.
- Avoid exposing them to extreme heat or cold, as this can cause damage or discoloration.
- Be cautious when wearing or storing your jewellery with stones, as they may scratch other pieces or be scratched by harder materials.
Enamel Care
- Clean your enamel jewellery with a soft, damp cloth or a gentle solution of warm water and mild dish soap.
- Avoid exposing enamel to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or abrasive surfaces, as this can lead to chipping, cracking, or discoloration.
- Store your enamel pieces separately from other jewellery to prevent scratching or damage.
